In a Biology textbook clasped in the hands of a nature lover, this is of so much interest. But for someone who prefers making benzene rings and solving redox reactions, who cares? Or for a literary geek, why bother to know?
Now, this essay, entitled Why Leaves Turn Color in the Fall, is not the kind of article that you first thought it was. (I bet that you thought this was a hardcore scientific article). Yes, this is scientific, as the title itself suggests that there has to be a real explanation for this natural phenomenon, but this has also a touch of literature that is explored to its finest. This is a sophisticated essay that incorporated science and literature in a very logical structure. The transition of thoughts was not abrupt, given that it has both the two fields that are difficult to put together in a single piece. I wonder where or when I can read another essay as beautiful as this.
